Diamond Grading Reports offered by England Diamond

We at England Diamond are proud to offer one of the most comprehensive selections of loose diamonds and diamond engagement rings to be found online. All loose diamonds illustrated within our catalogue bear a unique grading report or dossier report (below 1 carat) from the  Gemological Institute of America (GIA) – the world's most recognised and respected laboratory for diamond analysis and grading. Each report is unique; independently summarised by an accredited GIA expert to provide you with important information concerning exact measurements, carat weight, finish, cut and overall quality.

GIA Grading Reports - New Format

A GIA diamond grading report is the first of a two-stage quality assurance process. At England Diamond, we employ the expertise of an accredited diamond expert to carry out our own in-house evaluations. We are committed to maintaining  quality control, and therefore analyse each and every stone prior to shipping to ensure it meets our in-house standards. We also conduct checks to ensure each loose stone purchased conforms to the information documented within the GIA  report.

Gemological Institute of America (GIA)

Established in 1931, the Gemological Institute of America remains both the largest and most revered non-profit organisation dedicated to gemological research and education. Together, the institute's graders, scientists and tutors comprise the world's leading authority in all aspects of gemology.  England Diamond is founded and operated by industry specialists who have been trained by the GIA.

A GIA grading report (or dossier for diamonds under 1 carat) will only be issued once a thorough, expert appraisal of a diamond has been carried out. The gemmologist will gauge the diamond's authenticity by evaluating its attributes – carat, cut, colour, clarity, and beyond, along with the diamond's exact dimensions. Reports issued by the Gemological Institute of America are widely regarded to be the standard for all diamonds intended for retail sale, and are vital for assessing primary traits  and value.  The GIA report also serves as a useful supporting documentation when you decide to insure your expensive diamond.

When considering a diamond purchase, it's vital that you're familiar with the criteria used by the GIA during the grading process. GIA criteria encompasses the four C's – cut, clarity, carat and colour – established standards by which the majority of retailed diamonds are assessed before they're offered for sale.   Learn more Diamond 4C’s from us.
